Robbery
and Drive-By Shooting in Long Neck

Long Neck
- On Wednesday, July 16th
at approximately 12:00 a.m., Troopers responded to the area of the
30,000 block of Sea Waye Lane in Rehoboth Shores, Millsboro for a
report of a subject that had been shot.
Through the
investigation, Troopers learned that a 17 year old male victim from
Millsboro had been sitting out on his porch when he heard a “pop”
noise. He felt pain in one of his legs and was helped into the house
by family members who notified 911. The victim was transported to
Beebe Hospital in Lewes where he underwent surgery for the gunshot
wound. The vehicle could only be described as a four door light
colored vehicle.
In a possibly
related incident, occurring around 9:30 p.m., a 15 year old male
victim from Millsboro was accosted by Tremayne R. Moorman,
21, of the 30,000 block of Sea Waye Lane, Millsboro and an unknown
white male subject named “Tim”, who reportedly beat the juvenile up
and took an undisclosed amount of money. This incident occurred in
the area of Long Neck Road between the developments of Bay City and
Rehoboth Shores.
Detectives
believe the shooting may have been in retaliation to the robbery and
are still investigating both incidents.
Warrants have
been obtained for Tremayne Moorman for Robbery Second Degree and
Conspiracy Second Degree. Both are felonies.
