Troopers Probe Rooftop Burglary in Newark

Newark – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a burglary that occurred at the Modern Nails & Tanning located in the Salem Village Square, Newark. The investigation revealed sometime between Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 9:00 pm and Friday, February 6, 2009 at 8:30 am an unknown suspect entered the business by removing a hatch on the roof.

Once inside, the suspect(s) removed an undisclosed amount of money and attempted to remove a 40 inch flat screen television. It appears as if the suspect dropped the television during the attempt to steal it because it was damaged beyond repair. The culprit fled out the rear door. There is no video surveillance available.
