Robber, and his Cohort, Apprehended

New Castle County-
Between May 27th – June 10th, the State Police
and the Wilmington Police had investigated four separate robberies
in the Wilmington area. The cases are as follows:
1) 7-Eleven,
Edgemoor (4865 Governor Printz Boulevard, Wilmington) - 05-27-08
2) Clifton
Liquors (304 Edgemoor Road, Wilmington) - 06-02-08
3) Lampost
Liquors (1144 Christiana Road, Newark) - 06-06-08
4) Quaker Hill
Liquors (701 North Washington Street, Wilmington) - 06-10-08
After the
Clifton Liquor Store robbery, the Delaware State Police disseminated
video of the suspects. Tips came in to investigators that aided in
identifying the potential suspects as Tanya Duker, 18, of
West 6th Street in Wilmington and Andre Shaw, 22,
also of West 6th Street.
Yesterday
afternoon, the Delaware State Police Special Operations
Response Team and Wilmington Police Department SWAT
team executed the search warrant at the West 6th Street address.
The search netted clothing utilized in all three pending State
Police robberies, clearly linking the suspects to the crime. An
Airsoft pistol was also recovered. In addition, two suspects Duker
and Shaw were taken into custody.
Mr. Shaw was
linked to the 7-Eleven robbery, Clifton Liquor Store robbery,
Lampost Liquor Store robbery and the Quaker Hill Liquor Store
robbery. Duker was linked to the Clifton Liquor Store robbery and
the Lampost Liquor Store robbery.
Andre Shaw was
formally charged with seven counts of Robbery (felony), three counts
of Conspiracy 2nd (felony), and a single count of
Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony
(felony). He was committed to the Howard Young Correctional
Institute in lieu of $206,000.00 secured bail. He was also ordered
to have no further contact with his co-conspirator Ms. Duker.
Tonya
Duker was formally charged with three counts of Robbery (felony) and
two counts of Conspiracy 2nd (felony). She was committed
to the Baylor Woman’s Correctional Institute in lieu of $79,000.00
bail. She too was ordered not to have any contact with her
co-conspirator Mr. Shaw.
