DSP News Release: Wednesday, February 25, 2009- State Police Seek Identity of Robbery Suspect

Location of Incident:  Community Variety Store, 287 Christiana Road, New Castle, Delaware, New Castle County

Date and Time of Occurrence:  Thursday, January 22, 2009, at approximately 6:40 p.m.

Suspect(s):  White male, approximately 30-35 years of age, 5’09” tall, 180 lbs, average build, with a scruffy appearance.

Resume:  On Thursday, January 22^nd, Troopers responded to the Community Variety Store on Christiana Road for a reported robbery.

This investigation revealed at approximately 6:40 p.m., a white male suspect entered the store, implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied with the robbers demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. 

The suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction. 

Surveillance video has been obtained, enhanced and is now available for dissemination. Anyone who may recognize this subject in the pictures below is asked to call detectives at 302.834.2630 ext. 6.
