DSP News Release: Thursday, February 19, 2009- State Police Probe Robbery at Newark Area Wawa

Location of Incident: Wawa, 1 Salem Village Square, Newark, Delaware

Date and Time of Occurrence: Sunday, February 15, 2009, at approximately 4:40 a.m.

Suspect:  White female, 18-25 years old, 5-06 to 5-07, 100-120 lbs, wearing a dark hooded jacket with fur around the hood, dark pants, and white sneakers.

Resume:  This past Sunday, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Troopers responded to the Wawa on Salem Church Road for the report of a robbery.

In this case, a female, who is depicted below, entered the store and approached the service counter. She presented a demand note to the clerk who turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the bandit. 

The suspect fled out of the convenience store towards the Glen Eagle Apartments.
