DSP News Release: Monday, February 09, 2009- Robbery Suspect Photo Released… Identity Sought

Location of Incident: Wawa, 4601 Stanton-Ogletown Road, Newark, Delaware

Date and Time of Occurrence:  Sunday, February 8, 2009, 3:45 a.m.

SuspectsWhite male, approximately 18 to 25 years of age, approximately 5’05’’ to 5’08’’, thin to average build

Resume: Early yesterday morning, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Troopers were called to a strong arm robbery at the Wawa on Stanton-Ogletown Road. 

In this case, a male suspect entered the store and approached the service counter.  When a store clerk opened the cash register door to complete a sale, the suspect lunged over the countertop and reached into the register drawer. The bandit grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled from the store on foot.
