Wilmington- The State Police are investigating this case as a possible suicide and no further information will be released.

DSP News Release: Tuesday, February 03, 2009- Subject Struck and Killed by Train

Location of Incident:  Amtrak train tracks north of Edgemoor Road and south of the Claymont Train Station

Date and Time of Occurrence: Tuesday, February 03, 2009, approximately 9:15 p.m.

Resume:  Earlier this evening, Troopers were called to the Amtrak train tracks ,north of Edgemoor Road, for the report of a subject who was on the tracks and was struck by a southbound traveling train. 

Officers and emergency personnel arrived on the scene and located the body of a deceased male subject. 

This investigation is currently ongoing and no further details are expected to be released tonight.
