Resume:
Yesterday evening, Troopers were called to the Citgo Station,
located at 135 Sough DuPont Highway, for an attempted shoplifting
complaint. In this case, two subjects, later identified as Russell
Hill and Albert Crumb, were in the process of stealing windshield
wiper fluid when they were confronted by the store clerk. The
subjects were chased away, however, they returned to the scene a
short time later donning ski-masks. They also implied they had
handguns with the old standby- ‘finger pointing in the pocket.’
The clerk
called 911 upon seeing the suspects outside and the two bandits
fled. Troopers were at the Citgo interviewing the clerk when one of
the officers heard an audible alarm coming from Shooters Supply (a
hunting and fishing supply store) which in located directly across
the street from the Citgo.
The Troopers
on the scene observed two subjects running from the business and the
officers gave chase. Moments later, they apprehended Hill and
Crumb. The two bandits did not go quietly and they resisted
apprehension. Mr. Hill was found to have been in possession of
three stolen handguns which were linked back to Shooters. Both
subjects also had ski-masks stuffed in their pockets.
Not knowing
when to quit, Hill continued his rant as he spat in the face of an
officer and caused another $2,000.00 worth of damage to a patrol
car.
Both suspects
are currently at Troop 2 in Glasgow. They will be formally charged
in the hours to come with the following offenses: Aggravated
