DSP News Release: Wednesday, January 14, 2009- Victim Finds Car Missing Two Tires

Location of Incident: parking lot of the 100 block of Continental Drive, Newark, Delaware, New Castle County

Date and Time of Occurrence: Monday, January 12, 2009, 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Suspect(s): Unknown

Resume: A victim, working at a business at 131 Continental Drive in Newark, received some most unwanted news when a friend called him and told him that his car was missing two tires.   

The 24-year-old victim in this case advised he parked his vehicle in the south side parking lot at approx 2:30 p.m. and went into work.  About two hours later, a friend of the victim’s called and told him his car was missing its driver’s side tires.   The victim went out to his 2007 Toyota Scion and found it lifted on a vehicle jack.  The driver's side front and rear tires and rims were in fact removed. 

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the above listed parking lot to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
