DSP News Release: Thursday, September 17, 2009- Subject Robs Rite Aid Yesterday Morning
Location: Rite Aid, 4718 Limestone Road, Wilmington, Delaware
Date and Time: Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at approximately 8:35 a.m.
Suspect(s): Black male, 35 – 37 years old, 190 – 210 pounds, with facial hair, wearing a white t-shirt and green jacket
Resume: Troopers are investigating a strong arm robbery which occurred yesterday morning.
Officers were called to the Rite Aid in the Pike Creek Shopping Center for a strong arm robbery. In this case, a male suspect entered the store and walked up to the cash register. He requested a lighter and the clerk prepared to complete the sale.
When the employee opened the register to make change, the suspect reached over the counter and into the register. He grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and ran out of the store.
No one was injured in this case.
