DSP News Release: Friday, September 04, 2009- PNC Bank Robbery Probed
Location: PNC Bank located at 5325-A Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808
Date of Occurrence: Friday, September 04, 2009, at 11:53 a.m.
Suspect(s):White male, 30-40 years old, approximately 225 lbs., 5-10 to 6-0, large build, wearing a black hat, dark sunglasses, white surgical mask, orange traffic / construction vest, black t-shirt, dark colored pants and white gloves. The suspect was armed with a black handgun.
Resume: During the lunchtime hour on Friday, September 4th, Troopers were called for a bank robbery at the PNC Bank located at 5325-A Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.
In this incident, the below-pictured suspect entered the bank and displayed a black handgun. He then ordered numerous bank employees and patrons onto the floor at gunpoint. The suspect then demanded cash from several of the bank tellers who complied.
The bandit obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot. He was last observed entering a wooded area south of the bank.
