Resume:  DSP Robbery detectives are investigating an incident from last night which occurred in the Canby Park Shopping Center.

In this case, a 52-year-old male victim was walking in the parking lot of the shopping center when he was jumped by three male subjects.  The subjects beat him to the ground and they started to rummage through his pockets.

In an attempt to protect himself, the victim pulled out a small folding knife and possibly cut one of the robbers in the area of his torso.  The suspects then ran off in an unknown direction.  The suspect believed to have been cut was last seen holding his waist area as he fled the scene.

The victim did not require medical attention.

Because it was dark, and also because of the violent nature of the robbery, there is a limited description of the suspects.

Anyone with information pertaining to this case is asked to call Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
