DSP News Release: Monday, October 26, 2009- Subway Robbed at Gunpoint in Bear

 

Location: Subway, 813 Governors Place, Bear, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date and Time: Sunday, October 25, 2009, 8:33 p.m.

 

Suspect(s): Black male, 18 – 25, 6’03” tall, 180 pounds, light brown complexion, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a cloth covering his face, armed with a handgun   

 

Resume: Detectives are investigating a robbery which occurred last evening at a Bear area Subway.

 

In this case, Troopers were called to the sandwich shop shortly after 8:30 p.m. for the report of a hold-up.  Their investigation revealed a male suspect entered the store and approached the service counter. 

 

The bandit pointed a handgun at the two employees (one male and one female) and demanded cash.  The employees complied and the suspect fled the business via the rear door with an undisclosed amount of money.
