DSP News Release: Friday, October 23, 2009- Dirty Robber Strikes at North Wilmington Cleaners

 

Location: Val-U-Rite Cleaners, 4405 Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date of Occurrence: Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 4:23 p.m.

 

Suspect(s): Unknown white male, 30 – 40 years old, 5’09”, average build, unshaven wearing dirty / soiled clothes

 

Resume: Detectives are looking for a subject who robbed a North Wilmington dry cleaner yesterday. 

 

At approximately 4:23 p.m., a white male subject entered the cleaners on Concord Pike and approached the service counter.  The bandit was armed with a handgun and ordered the clerk to open the register drawer.  The clerk complied and the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money.

 

The suspect fled the store and got into a dark colored station wagon which fled northbound on Route 202.
