DSP News Release: Friday, October 23, 2009- Riverview Motel Robbed

 

Location: Riverview Motel, 7811 Governor Printz Boulevard, Claymont, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date of Occurrence: Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 10:15 p.m.

 

Suspect(s): Black male, 18 – 22 years old, 5’07” tall, medium brown complexion, thin build, wearing gloves, with his face covered and armed with a handgun.

 

Resume: Investigators are looking into a late night robbery that occurred at the Riverview Motel in Claymont.

 

In this incident, a masked man entered the business lobby and approached the front service counter.  He displayed a black handgun and knocked on the glass window to get the clerk’s attention.  The clerk saw the gunmen and fled to a rear office in an attempt to seek safety; however, the suspect kicked in the office door and located the clerk inside.  He demanded cash and the clerk told him where it was. 

 

The suspect located the loot and fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money. 

 

The clerk was not injured.
