DSP News Release: Friday, October 16, 2009- Armed Robbery at Philly Pike Liquor Store
Location: Yetters Liquors, 3101 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, Delaware
Date of Occurrence: October 14, 2009, at approximately 10:00 p.m.
Suspect(s): Black male wearing green ball cap, gloves carrying a black handgun
Resume: Detectives are asking for the publics’ help in providing tips regarding an armed robbery which occurred Wednesday night at Yetters Liquors on Philadelphia Pike.
This investigation revealed that at approximately 10:00 p.m., the male suspect described above was milling around the rear of the liquor store. He then entered the store and was armed with a black handgun.
He approached two Yetters employees at the service counter and pointed the gun at them while demanding cash. The clerks complied and the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money. He fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.
