DSP News Release: Tuesday, October 13, 2009- New Castle Man Sought in Armed Gas Station Robbery

 

Location: Citgo Gas Station, 135 South DuPont Highway, New Castle, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date of Occurrence: October 5, 2009, at 10:30 p.m.

 

Suspect(s): John H. Hensley, III, 19, of the unit block of East Avenue in New Castle, Delaware. This subject is 5’6” tall, 185 lbs., and has “141” branded onto his stomach. This suspect is known to frequent the area of the Hollywood Motel.

 

Resume: On Monday, October 5th, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a robbery occurred at the Citgo Gas Station located at 135 South DuPont Highway in New Castle.

 

In this incident, the below-pictured suspect entered the store and displayed a black handgun at the store clerk and her 14-year-old daughter. The suspect demanded money from the cash register.  He also demanded cigarettes and cigars.

 

The suspect obtained the aforementioned property and fled the store southbound on foot towards the Hollywood Motel.

 

Troopers have been unable to locate this subject.  Anyone who may know where he may be is asked to call investigators at 302-834-2630 ext. 6 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
