DSP News Release: Sunday, November 15, 2009- Victim Robbed of Wallet, i-phone, and to Top It Off, His Pizza Pie

 

Location: Parking lot of the Miller Road Shopping Center, Miller Road, Wilmington, Delaware

 

Date of Occurrence: Saturday, November 14, 2009, at approximately 7:30 p.m. 

 

Suspect(s):

·        Black male, 16 – 22 years old, thin build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, baggy pants and armed with a handgun.

·        Black male, 16 – 20 years old, thin build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

 

Resume: Last evening, Troopers were called to the Miller Road Shopping Center for the report of a robbery that had just occurred. 

 

Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim, a 51-year-old man, who provided the following account.  Just prior to the robbery, he arrived to the Miller Road Shopping Center to purchase a pizza from Café Palermo.  After buying the pie, he was walking back through the parking lot to his car at which time he was approached by two male suspects. 

 

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.  The armed man held the victim at bay while the second suspect rummaged through the victim’s pockets.  The suspects removed the victim’s wallet and i-phone.  And, to top it off, they also took his pizza. 

 

The suspects were last seen fleeing the scene down West 32nd Street. 

 

The victim was not injured.
