Update #1 DSP News Release: Tuesday, November 10, 2009- Two Injured in Route 4 Crash
Wilmington- Johnny Dorazio is currently still admitted at Christiana Hospital. Upon his release, he will face the following court approved charges: DUI, Driving While Suspended, No Proof of Insurance, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Crash, Failure to Report and Injury Crash, Vehicular Assault 1st (felony) and Hindering Prosecution (misdemeanor). He will also be processed on two outstanding court capiases.
It is unknown when his discharge from the hospital will take place. A news release will be disseminated to the media when this occurs and his arraignment has been completed.

DSP News Release: Tuesday, November 10, 2009- Two Injured in Route 4 Crash
Location: Route 4, Newport Pike, in the area of Forest Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware
Date of Occurrence: Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 11:30 a.m.
Suspect(s): Johnny Dorazio, 27, of Duncan Road, Wilmington, Delaware
Resume: State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the area of Route 4 and Forest Drive earlier today for a single vehicle crash.
A 1995 Honda Accord, operated by Johnny Dorazio, 27, of Duncan Road, was traveling Route 4 eastbound, approaching Forest Drive, when, for an unknown reason, he veered off of the south side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The pole was sheered in two.
After the impact, Dorazio fled the scene on foot. Troopers located him at a nearby business after canvassing the area. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Also injured in this crash was the front seat passenger, a 24-year-old female. She was taken to Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injures which consisted of several fractured bones.
Charges are pending for Mr. Dorazio as the arrest warrant is currently being processed. An additional news release will be provided later today when the warrant is finalized. |
