DSP News Release: Three Suspects Arrested in Strong Arm Robbery
Location: Christiana Mall, Newark, New Castle County, DE
Date of Occurrence: Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 on or about 3:45 p.m.
Suspects:
Andre James, 20, Wilmington, DE Dominique Brooks, 18, Wilmington, DE Christopher Moulton, 18, Wilmington, DE
Resume:
Delaware State Police have arrested three men who were involved in a strong arm robbery in the restroom located in the Christiana Mall.
Just before 4 p.m. today the 3 suspects followed a 17 year-old male into the restroom located in the food court area. The suspects busted into a bathroom stall after the victim entered. The suspects threaten the victim and took currency, an Iphone and an Ipod prior to fleeing the restroom.
The victim reported the crime to security. Security personnel were able located the suspects within the mall and notified troopers. Troopers responding to the scene were able to take the three into custody and recover the victim’s Iphone.
The three men were charged with robbery 2nd and conspiracy. They were committed to the Department of Correction in default of $5,000 cash bail. The victim was not injured during the altercation.
