DSP News Release: Pedestrian Struck and Killed Has Been Identified
Location: U S 40 at Rickey Blvd, Bear, DE

Delaware State Police have identified the subject killed in Monday’s fatal crash.
Troopers have identified Taj Robinson, 18, of the 200 block of Antlers Place, Bear, DE. Troopers had a difficult time identify Robinson due to the lack of identification or any identifying characteristics. Troopers were able to identify him after family members responded to Troop 2 to file a missing person’s report.
Robinson was wearing all dark clothing at the time of the crash. No charges have been filed and the investigation is still ongoing.
Up Dated Information
Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.
As of this hour the preliminary investigation reveals that Karen Davis, 50, of Newark, was driving a 2000 Dodge Neon westbound on US 40 in the area of Rickey Blvd when a male was attempting to cross the westbound lanes.
The pedestrian was taken to Christiana Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Troopers are still trying to identify the individual who was killed last evening.

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian. The crash occurred this evening when a male pedestrian appeared to be crossing the westbound lanes of U S 40 when he was struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was killed as a result of the collision. The investigation is ongoing and troopers are attempting to identify the victim.
