DSP News Release: Friday, May 08, 2009- Attempted Robbery Probed

 

Location of Incident: 7-Eleven, 5601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date and Time of Occurrence: Friday, May 08, 2009, at approximately 1:04 a.m.

 

Suspect(s): White male, 20 – 30 years old, 6’00” to 6’02”, 200 – 220, large build with blonde hair.

 

Resume: Shortly after midnight this morning, Troopers were dispatched to the 7-Eleven, located along the 5600 block of Kirkwood Highway for a reported robbery. 

 

This investigation revealed that at approximately 1:04 a.m., a white male entered the store and approached the service counter.  He had his face partially covered by a t-shirt.  The bandit demanded cash from the clerk who did not comply.  The would-be-robber was spooked by other patrons arriving to the store and he then fled the scene. 

 

He was last seen fleeing on foot toward Milltown Road.
