Updated DSP News Release: Thursday, May 21, 2009- Suspect Turns Himself In… C0-Conspirator Identified (Monday, May 18, 2009- State Police Seek Theft Suspect’s Whereabouts)

 

New Castle County- On Wednesday, May 20th, Frankie Galindez turned himself in to authorities at Troop 2.  He saw himself covered in the local media and elected to surrender.  He was charged with the following offenses- seven counts each of Theft, Criminal Mischief and Conspiracy (all misdemeanors).  He was committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute in lieu of $5,974.00 secured bail.

 

This case was initiated with Galindez’s co-conspirator in this investigation, Joshua Upole, 34, of 6th Avenue in Wilmington, was caught in the act breaking into a vehicle in the Pencader Plaza Shopping Center back on May 11th.  Uphole was charged on the 11th with eight counts of Theft, eight counts of Criminal Mischief and seven counts of Conspiracy (all misdemeanors).
