Released-Sunday, June 21, 2009

Wilmington-Troop 6 Troopers are currently on the scene of a disabled Wilmington Western Railroad train in the area of Faulkland Road just west of Spice Mill Lane.

The engine and an unoccupied passenger train derailed.

Wilmington Western Railroad is making arrangements to transport the 150 passengers of the historical train ride from the disabled train to another train.

A crane is enroute to remove the disabled train.

Faulkland Road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

An updated release will be sent when additional information is received and confirmed.
