DSP News Release: Friday, June 05, 2009- Red Mill 7-Eleven Robbed at Gunpoint
Location of Incident: 7-Eleven, 11 Red Mill Road, Newark, Delaware, New Castle County
Date and Time of Occurrence: Thursday, June 4, 2009, at approximately 10:25 p.m.
Suspect(s): two unidentified black males, faces covered who were between 5’09” and 5’11” tall. One subject was wearing a dark colored winter jacket with a hood pulled up and the second subject was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
Resume: Last evening, Troopers responded to the Red Mill Road 7-Eleven for an armed robbery complaint.
This investigation revealed that at approximately 10:30 p.m., two male suspects entered the store. These bandits were armed with a handgun. They first approached a customer and robbed this subject at gunpoint. They then turned to the clerk and demanded cash.
The two crooks obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled the scene with the loot. They were last seen fleeing southbound on Red Mill Road on foot.
There is no surveillance video available at this time.
