DSP News Release: Wednesday, June 03, 2009- Pulaski Highway Carjacking Probed
Location of Incident: Parking lot of the Burrito Express, 707 Pulaski Highway, Bear, Delaware, New Castle County
Date and Time of Occurrence: Tuesday, June 2, 2009, 11:58 a.m.
Suspect(s): White male, 38 – 42 years old, 5’07” to 5’10” tall, light skin tone, small build, decayed teeth who was unshaven.
Resume: Yesterday at noon, Troopers were called to the parking lot of the Burrito Express on Pulaski Highway for a reported car jacking.
This investigation revealed an 80-year-old male victim was he was getting into his car after partoning the aforementioned business when he was approached by a white male suspect.
The suspect told the victim he wanted his car and threatened to harm the victim if he did not comply. The suspect also held his hand in his pocket as if he had a weapon. The victim got out of his car and the suspect started to drive away. Just prior leaving the scene, the suspect stopped the car and another white male got into the passenger side of the vehicle. The two men then drove westbound on Ellen Drive (the road runs parallel to Pulaski Highway).
The victim was not hurt. His vehicle is described as a blue 2004 Ford Taurus displaying Delaware registration KC494.
