Wilmington Mercedes Dealer Targeted by Thieves

 

Location of Incident:  Mercedes-Benz of Wilmington, 3801 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date of Occurrence:  Sometime overnight of July 24th – 25th

 

Suspect(s): Unknown at this time

 

Synopsis: On July 25th, a Troop 6 patrol officer was called to Mercedes Benz of Wilmington in reference to a theft of rims and tires.  Upon his arrival the Trooper spoke with the general manager who advised that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) removed rims and tires from three Mercedes-Benz vehicles and attempted to take tires from a fourth vehicle. 

 

The total loss is estimated at $8,000.00.

 

A check of the property revealed the targeted vehicles were parked in a rear fenced in lot.  The bandit(s) cut the fencing to gain entry.
