Newark Motel Robbed by Three Masked Subjects

 

Location of Incident: Ramada Inn, 260 Chapman Road, Newark, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date of Occurrence: Friday, July 24th, 2009, at approximately 9:00 p.m.

 

Suspect(s):  Three subjects, two black males and one black female.  They were dressed in dark clothing and had their faces covered with scarves. 

 

Resume: State Troopers responded to the Ramada Inn, located on Chapman Road, last evening for the report of an armed robbery.

 

Just prior to 9:00 a.m. three suspects, two males and a female entered the Ramada Inn.  They were all wearing scarves wrapped around their faces concealing their identities.

 

The female remained in the lobby as a lookout while the two male suspects jumped over the counter.   One of the males was displaying a black handgun while demanding cash from the clerk.

 

The clerk complied and the suspects made out with an undisclosed amount of cash. They were last seen fleeing the scene westbound on Chapman Road in a white station wagon with an unknown registration plate. 

 

There is no surveillance video available.
