Updated DSP News Release: Friday, July 17, 2009- Happy Harry’s Robbery Probed (June 30th Release)

 

Wilmington- Thanks to the New Castle County Police Department, yesterday, detectives from DSP Troop 2 arrested Kenneth Maniscalco, 25, of Cecilton, Maryland.  A NCCPD Detective had Mr. Maniscalco in custody yesterday in reference to an unrelated case and learned of a possible connection Maniscalco may have had to the June 27th robbery at Happy Harry’s. 

 

Maniscalco was turned over to the State Police who charged him with Robbery 1st (felony).  He was committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute in lieu of a $30,000.00 secured bail.

DSP News Release: Tuesday, June 30, 2009- Happy Harry’s Robbery Probed

 

Location of Incident: Happy Harry’s, 1120 Pulaski Highway, Glendale Plaza, Bear, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date and Time of Occurrence: Saturday, June 27th, 2009 at approximately 5:00 a.m.

 

Suspect(s): White male, 24-26 years old, 5-7 to 5-8, 140 to 190 lbs., brown beard, unknown tattoo on the right wrist / forearm, wearing a green baseball cap, dark colored sunglasses on the baseball cap, black t-shirt with an unknown design on the front, gray shorts, and white sneakers

 

Resume: On Saturday, June 27th, at approximately 5:00 a.m., the below pictured suspect entered the 24-hour Happy Harry’s location at 1120 Pulaski Highway, Glendale Plaza, Bear, Delaware.

 

The suspect approached an employee and claimed he was armed.  The suspect demanded the prescription medication Oxycontin from the pharmacy. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of medication and fled the store in an unknown direction.
