On June 14th, Troopers responded to the Macy’s Department Store at the Christiana Mall in reference to a burglary alarm.  When officers arrived on the scene, they found the glass doors on the south entrance were broken out.  Officers entered the business and did not locate any suspects.  They did observe several shattered display cases in the jewelry department

A representative from Macy’s responded to the store and conducted an inventory.  It became quickly apparent that the suspects responsible for this caper had appropriated watches, many watches to the tune of $200,000.00.

Initial leads were followed and unfortunately, they did not pan out. A photograph of the suspect vehicle is included below.  This was captured via external cameras at the mall.  Surveillance video from the interior of the store did not capture images of the bandit(s).

Investigators are asking anyone with information pertaining to this case call 302.834.2630 ext. 207 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333.
