DSP News Release: Monday, July 13, 2009- Concord Pike Eatery Robbed After Hours

 

Location of Incident: Lonestar, 307 Rocky Run Parkway, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date and Time of Occurrence: Saturday, July 11th, 2009, at approximately 12:05 a.m.

 

Suspect(s):

  • Black male, 5’10” to 6’00”, 180 – 200 pounds, muscular build, wearing gloves and who was armed with a handgun
  • Black male, 5’06” to 5’08”, 150 – 180 pounds, thin build, who was wearing gloves

 

Resume: Detectives from the State Police Robbery Squad in New Castle County are investigating a robbery that took place this past Saturday at the Lone Star Restaurant on Concord Pike.

 

At about 12:05 a.m., the restaurant was closed for business and several employees were inside cleaning.  Suddenly, without warning, two male suspects appeared inside and confronted the employees.  The workers were ordered to the ground in what was an apparent robbery attempt.  The employees complied and dropped to the floor. 

 

The suspects looked for cash, but were unable to locate any.  They then fled the business empty handed. 

 

No one was injured in this incident.  It is unknown how exactly the suspects entered the building.  There is no surveillance video available.
