Resume: In the early morning hours of Sunday the 30th, Troopers were called to the Lancaster Laundromat for a report of an alarm activation.  Officers arrived on the scene and found evidence of forced entry.  An inspection of the interior of the business revealed a burglary suspect had made their way inside, opened the register and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

A check of the surveillance video system revealed a black female had used a brick to break open the front glass window which allowed her entry.

Armed with the suspect’s description, officers began to scour the area and developed a possible suspect living in a nearby apartment complex.  The bandit was identified as Katia Moody.  Troopers responded to her residence and positively linked her to the crime.

Ms. Moody was transported back to Troop 6 where she was charged with Burglary (felony), Criminal Mischief (misdemeanor) and Theft (misdemeanor).  She was released from custody on a $1,750.00 unsecured bond.
