Updated DSP News Release- Wednesday, August 26, 2009- Photographs of Pharmacy Robbers Released

 

Delaware and Pennsylvania- Over the course of the past several weeks, the Delaware State Police, Newark Police Department and the New Garden Township Police Department have reported on multiple pharmacy robberies plaguing our area.  In these incidents, the suspects have entered the stores, threatened the pharmacy clerks with a firearm (they either implied they had it or displayed one), and demanded prescription drugs- primarily Oxycodone and Oxycontin. 

 

By the aforementioned police departments working collaboratively together, surveillance footage has been compiled of the two suspects responsible for these crimes.  These men have carried out robberies on the following dates and time and at the following locations:

 

TIMELINE:

 

·  CVS Pharmacy- Route 41 in New Garden Township (PA) - 7/13/09 @ 9:09 a.m.

·  CVS Pharmacy – Route 41 in New Garden Township (PA) - 7/24/09 @ 9:05 a.m.

·  Rite Aid Pharmacy – Peoples Plaza, Newark, Delaware - 7/27/09 @ 2:30 p.m.

·  Rite Aid Pharmacy – New London Rd, Newark, Delaware - 7/31/09 @ 9:08 a.m.

·  Rite Aid Pharmacy – Peoples Plaza, Newark, Delaware - 8/11/09 @ 9:15 a.m.

·  Rite Aid Pharmacy – Kirkwood Highway, Newark, Delaware -8/14/09 @ 9:28 a.m.

·  Rite Aid Pharmacy – New London Road, Newark, Delaware -8/15/09 @ 9:08 a.m.

SUSPECT #1:         White male, 22 to 30 years old, 5-6 to 6-0, 150 to 170 lbs., thin to average build, dark colored facial hair, wearing an army green baseball cap with a red star, black t-shirts with large varying logos, shorts and white sneakers.

 

                   

 

SUSPECT #2:         White male, 35 to 45 years old, 6-0 to 6-3, 215 to 230 lbs., large to heavy build, red/auburn colored hair, currently clean shaven but may have a red/auburn colored beard or facial hair, large dark colored sunglasses, wearing a black and red baseball hat or a tan colored flat hat, tan or green long sleeved shirts and various styled shorts.

 

*These subjects should be considered armed and dangerous.
