DSP News Release: Tuesday, August 18, 2009- Liquor Store Clerk Robbed After Work

 

Location:  Peddlers Village, 10 West Main Street, Newark, Delaware, New Castle County

 

DATE and TIME:  Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at 12:22 a.m.

 

Suspect(s):  

  • Black male, 20 - 25 years old, 5’07” to 5’08”, thin build with his face covered
  • Black male, 20 – 25 years old, 5’08” to 5’09”, thin build with his shirt pulled up over his face

 

Resume: Shortly after midnight this morning, Troopers were called to Peddlers Village Shopping Center for a robbery report.

 

An employee of the Peddlers Liquors finished work and locked the front door.  He was walking through the parking lot toward his car when he was robbed at knife point by two masked men.

 

The bandits stole the victim’s wallet then forced him to open the liquor store back up.  The suspects entered the business and stole money from the night deposit bag. 

 

The suspects fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.  They were last seen running away toward the Christiana Village Apartments. 

 

The victim was not injured. No surveillance video is available.
