Preliminary News Release: Monday, August 17, 2009- Fatal Crash on Route 896
Location: Route 896 between Route 40 and Corporate Boulevard, Glasgow, Delaware, New Castle County
Date of Occurrence: Monday, August 17, 2009, at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Resume: State Troopers and emergency personnel are currently on the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash on Route 896. Preliminary reports indicate this crash involved a car and a motorcycle and the motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene.
A more complete release will be forthcoming when details of this incident are known and confirmed.
Motorists should avoid the area for the next several hours.
