DSP News Release: Monday, April 13, 2009- Two Men Charged in Graffiti Incident, Caught in the Act

 

Location of Incident: Route 2 overpass in the area of Greenbank Road, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date and Time of Occurrence: Sunday, April 12, 2009, at approximately 6:53 p.m.

 

Suspect(s):

  • Lee LePore, 20, of Deer Run Road in Townsend, Delaware 
  • Philip Wadsley, 21, of Decoy Way in Newark, Delaware

 

Resume:  And the fight continues…  Yesterday evening, Troopers, in their ongoing battle against graffiti, were out on foot in the area of the Route 2 overpass by Greenbank Road when they observed two subjects spray painting a concrete wall.   As the officers approached, the subject attempted to flee on foot. They were soon apprehended and identified as Lee LePore and Philip Wadsley. 

 

With their apprehension, Troopers also recovered a backpack with multiple cans of spray paint. 

 

These two men were formally charged with the following misdemeanor offenses: Conspiracy, Graffiti, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Graffiti Implements.  They were both issued a criminal summons and released with a court date pending.
