DSP News Release: Tuesday, April 21, 2009- State Troopers Probe Equipment Theft, Reward Offered

 

Location of Incident: Newly constructed baseball field in the vicinity of Route 72 and Route 1, Bear, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date and Time of Occurrence: Sometime overnight from Friday (April 17th) to Saturday (April 18th)

 

Suspect(s): Unknown

 

Resume: The Delaware State Police is investigating the theft of a piece of construction equipment, a Kubota Tractor, from a newly constructed baseball field located in the area of Route 72 and Route 1. 

 

The theft occurred sometime overnight this past weekend- Friday into Saturday.  The tractor is described as red in color with a tri-point hitch and “Christiana Excavating” on the side.

 

The owners of the equipment, Christiana Excavating, are offering a reward for the return of the stolen tractor.
