DSP News Release: Tuesday, April 28, 2009- State Police Respond to Shots Fired Complaint at the Prices Corner Shopping Center

 

Location of Incident: Side parking lot of David’s Bridal, 3130 Kirkwood Highway, Prices Corner Shopping Center, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County

 

Date and Time of Occurrence: Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at approximately 6:39 p.m.

 

Suspect(s): Black male, 17 – 30 years old

 

Resume: State Troopers responded to the Prices Corner Shopping Center this evening for the report of shots fired complaint.

 

When officers arrived, then found an empty parking lot with nothing more than a bunch of shell casings.

 

Witness who were interviewed advised a black sedan and a white colored vehicle were in the parking lot adjacent to one another.  A black male exited the black vehicle and began to fire a series of rounds, possibly seven or eight, toward the white vehicle.  The gunman got back into his car and fled the scene.  So did the intended victim.

 

Authorities checked the surrounding area and hospitals and were unable to locate the victim.
