Racial Graffiti Located at Construction Site

 

Wilmington- On Thursday, April 9th, 2009, Delaware State Police responded to the construction site of Lancashire Elementary School, located at 2000 Naamans Road, reference racial graffiti located on the premises.  The incident occurred between Wednesday, April 8th, after 3:30 pm and over the nighttime hours.

 

Today shortly after 6 am, construction workers observed obscene words which were racially offensive in nature spray painted on the interior walls of the elementary school.  The school is presently under construction and is estimated to open later this year.

 

The investigation has revealed that unknown suspect(s) entered onto the property through an unsecured fence and proceeded to utilize spray paint on the walls.  In addition the suspect(s) caused additional damage to construction equipment.
