Previous Employee Embezzled More Than 1/2 Million Dollars from Dealership
New Castle - Delaware State Police have arrested Ms. Jennifer A. Creamer, 43, of the unit block of McCormick Boulevard, Newark, for embezzling more than a half a million dollars from Sheridan Ford Dealership located on Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
The investigation revealed that Ms. Creamer, a former employee of the dealership, started her own business called GSC Services, Inc., in 2001. In 2001, Ms. Creamer developed a partnership with the dealership who agreed to outsource their payroll to Ms. Creamer's business. In this capacity, Ms. Creamer was responsible for transferring money from the Sheridan Ford account to a separate entity where employees had their personal accounts established. While transferring funds from the corporate account to the personal accounts, Ms. Creamer would transfer unauthorized funds into her personal account.
The dealership completed an audit of their financial records which have indicated that Ms. Creamer is responsible for embezzling greater than $500,000.00 since 2001.
On today's date, Ms. Creamer responded to Delaware State Police Troop 2 where she was formally charged with the following crimes:
Ms. Creamer was released on $270,000.00 unsecured bond pending a later trial date.
