67-Year Old Wilmington Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

 

WilmingtonOn Thursday, April 9th, 2009, the Delaware Child Predator Task Force and Detectives of Delaware State Police Troop 2, arrested Mr. Thomas Owen, 67, of the 2000 Block of Fairhope Road.

 

The Task Force began an undercover on-line investigation into the distribution of child pornography via the Internet. As the investigation progressed Mr. Owen was identified and a search warrant was executed on his residence.

 

Mr. Owen was taken into custody without incident. As outlined in the search warrant computers and related hardware were removed from the residence and secured as evidence in this case.

 

Mr. Owen was formally charged with 29 counts of Using a Computer to Unlawfully Depict a Child Engaging in a Prohibited Sexual Act (Felony).

 

Following an arraignment, Mr. Owen was committed to Howard Young Correctional Center in lieu of $270,000.00 secure bond pending his appearance in court.
