DSP News Release: Friday, May 15, 2009- Public Notice in Regards to ATV Thefts.
Location of Incident: Kent County, Delaware
Date and Time of Occurrence: Various times of occurrence
Resume: Thefts of “ATV’s” are an ongoing problem in the Kent County area. It is anticipated that more thefts will be occurring with the warm weather months ahead. The State Police hopes that educating the public will cause a downward curve in this current trend.
So far this year in Kent County the State Police has 17 documented reports of all terrain vehicle thefts. Everyone who owns a 3 or 4-wheeler will hopefully take precautionary measures to prevent further thefts from occurring.
There are many methods by which one can protect their recreational vehicles from being stolen. The Delaware State Police hopes citizens will consider the following theft prevention techniques.
The Delaware State Police wants to remind the public to report suspicious activity to their local Law Enforcement Agency.
