Two Die in
Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash on Blueberry Lane

Frankford-The
Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is
presently investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that
occurred on the evening of Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 8:26
p.m.
State Troopers
from Troop 4 were initially dispatched to Blueberry Lane (Sussex
RD 402) two miles west of Frankford to investigate the reported
crash.
Upon arrival
investigators learned a 1993 Ford Ranger truck operated by
Clarence V. McCabe 2nd, 45 of Millsboro was
traveling westbound on Blueberry Lane at an apparent high rate
of speed. McCabe lost control of the truck and veered off the
north edge of the roadway striking a large drainage ditch.
After striking the ditch the truck overturned.
Clarence V. McCabe 2nd was
unrestrained. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His
passenger, Chester M. Morris, 57, also of Millsboro, was
properly restrained. Morris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol
involvement is unknown. The case remains under investigation.
Blueberry Lane was closed for approximately three hours while
investigators examined the scene.
