Released-Monday,
March 24, 2008
Milton-State
Police collision reconstruction investigators have released
additional details concerning the afternoon vehicle crash reported
earlier today.
Upon arrival at the
scene, investigators learned that a 2006 Dodge Caravan operated by
Linda J. Ulrich, 65, of Georgetown was traveling west bound
on Sand Hill Road approaching Gravel Hill Road.
The van failed to
stop for a posted stop sign and continued into the intersection. As
the Dodge Caravan entered the intersection, a 2005 Dodge truck
operated by David A. Amalfitano, 38, of New Castle was
traveling northbound on Gravel Hill Road. The truck struck the left
side of the van in the intersection.
Ulrich was wearing a
seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Amalfitano was also
wearing a seatbelt and was flown to Peninsula Regional Medical
Center. He is currently listed in stable condition.
Alcohol is believed
not to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under
