The Delaware State Police is announcing the closing date of Friday, May 18, 2012 for accepting applications for the position of Recruit Trooper for the 85th class. Applications received after 4 pm on Friday, May 18, 2012 will be considered for the 86th Delaware State Police Recruit Class.

Cadet Job Openings

The Delaware State Police are currently accepting applications for the 2012 Summer Seasonal Cadet Program.  Interested candidates must submit applications by 4 pm on May 30, 2012.  Cadet applications can be downloaded from this website.  Applications may be turned in to DSP Human Resources at DSP Headquarters or mailed to Delaware State Police Recruiting, P.O. Box 430 Dover, DE 19903.

Applicant’s who pass the minimum qualifications will be invited to proceed through the Cadet selection process.  Selected candidates will be required to attend training at the DSP Academy. 

Note - these positions are limited and assignments are at Troop 7 in Lewes, DE. 

  • The position is considered summer seasonal.
  • The anticipated start date is mid June.
  • The hours will consist of 37.5 a week. 
  • The pay rate is $12.66 an hour. 
The program will run through Labor Day.
